Dizziness on standing. Tired having nana naps. Emotional. Foggy brain. Irritable. No energy. Waking at night. and lots more.

Sounds like thyroid but a few differences like the dizziness. My adrenal results came back showing they were not good so must be that.?.?.?

Apparently my adrenals are ok just need support. I do wake at night but I also take a sleeping tablet, can't be working that well for me at the moment.

I most days now need to nap and fatigue really sets in from about 1.30pm. I seem to have two types of tired. One is my eyes and my body is fine and the other is my legs become very weak and get sore feet. Doing the dishes is enough to stuff me at the moment. I have emotional moments and now not of gloom and doom. If I get nagged at too much I get irritable and it doesn't take much. I don't have foggy brain, I used to when I was too high in the TWE. It disappeared as I reduced because of RT3. Oh and constipation don't wanna go there. It just doesn't work anymore. And I feel my best late at night.

So far the T3 has reduced my TSH increase my FT3 and I am a smidge happier. I am not over the moon about it all just yet.

Lets hope for more brighter days next year

Good luck

Margo

PS wish Bill would hurry back!

I question whether your adrenals are okay. Do you ever feel light headed. I have just finished reading a book that sounds very familiar to what you are saying. Do you have your results for your adrenals and what test did you have Margo.

I used to get light headed. Don't think I have in months. My adrenal results were done in Sept so they are out of date now. Did a urine cortisol for Bill and he said all was good but that was when I was feeling quite well.

I'm sure it's thyroid but just can't medicate for it. It's quite a worry actually. Gloom and doom have set in big time tonight. It's more than I can handle really.

My urine test came back neither good nor bad. Ask him for the am and pm cortisol test. That is the one he gave me and it certainly told the whole story. High at around 8.30 should be between 500-700 (Mine was 273) Low at around 4.30 should be 400-300 (Mine was 201).
That test gives a much clearer picture. The 24 hour urine test only gives an average for that day.

Might have to ask for that test myself. Along with a list of other asks.

Off to bed now.

Talk tomorrow

Sleep well

Post Ah Well
With not being able to afford WTE at times and finally going onto synthroid I have my first blood test results

TSH 36.7 (0.3-5)
FT4 6.0 (7-16)
T3 3.2 (3.6-6.5)

No wonder I feel like I have been run over a few times. Haven't got my adrenal results yet but I think the thyroid is telling a story all by itself

Needless to say I am increasing Synthroid and will get more blood tests in 6 weeks

Embarassed

Thanks Margo but for some unknown reason I don't feel as bad as I should (Maybe my adrenals are on the mend) Mind you I do not feel anywhere near 100%.

Post Oh dear.
Got my adrenal results back and they are not good - maybe because my thyroid is not good. The range is 200-700 and you should be high in the morning and lower in the afternoon. My morning reading is 222 nmol/L in the morning and only 77 nmol/L in the afternoon. Dr Reeder is concerned and agrees hopefully the thyroid is some of the cause. These are readings while I am taking hydrocortisone. I would hate to see them without that.

The test had this comment on it: A result over 550 nmol/L usually excludes adrenal insufficiency - Maybe they are starting to realise adrenal insufficiency exists Rolling Eyes Idea

Was that a blood or urine test? What has Bill suggested you do? How much HC are you taking and when?
